Ensure full compliance with all relevant UK and EU food safety legislation.
Source products responsibly, prioritising meat from Red Tractor-approved suppliers and where possible, maintaining traceability throughout every stage of the supply chain.
Work closely with our suppliers to ensure they apply best practices in managing food safety risks, maintaining product legality, and delivering consistent quality, authenticity, and traceability from farm to fork.
Establish and maintain robust standards for supplier and customer operations, covering raw material
sourcing, storage, and distribution. Our systems incorporate:
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures
Industry guidance on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Customer complaint and feedback management
Product traceability systems
Crisis management and response plans
(1) Monitor and review compliance through our Quality Management System, fostering a culture of food safety, quality, and customer service at all levels of the business.
(2) Support, develop, and empower employees, encouraging them to take ownership of quality improvement and promote a “right first time” mindset.
(3) Maintain full product traceability, ensuring every item sourced and supplied to our customers is clearly tracked throughout the supply chain.
(4) Provide necessary resources to continually enhance our food safety and quality management system, improving its effectiveness and delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
